Volunteering with Peoria Proud
What is the Policy & Action Committee?
A monthly meeting facilitated by Peoria Proud’s Advocacy Committee to discuss current political issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community and intersecting communities.
What does the committee work on?
Depending on community need and board approval, this committee may organize or support:
Petitions
Community surveys
Rallies and marches
Public statements
Voter education efforts
Legislative awareness campaigns
What’s the commitment level?
Low to none! Attend as you are able. Participation in political action is voluntary and based on your availability.
